Krone wins eLearning award
Spelle, 12th of march 2019e. At the DIDACTA trade fair in Cologne, Krone recently received the 2019 award in the ‘International Rollout: Best Practice Learning Portals’ category. Awarded by the eLearning Journal, the prize honours the innovative approach of the Krone educational training portal. The web portal offers a comprehensive selection of market-specific product training units either in eLearning or in traditional classroom format which are provided to the individual target groups via country-specific web portals.
Jan Holk, Julia Kunk and Jens Meyer-Coors accepted the prize on behalf of Krone. Thanking the judges for the award, Jan Holk, head of the Krone Training Center, said:” We are extremely pleased to receive this award, because it confirms that we are headed in the right direction. Our thanks naturally go to our colleagues on the educational training team and in the IT department, but also to SoftDecc, our long-term partner in Munich, who have helped us to forge this path to success." The Krone E-Training scheme has been available for a couple of months and consists of eLearning lessons that are offered as supplements to the classroom courses which require personal attendance. “All digital lessons are produced in-house to complement specific content in our educational programmes,” explains Mr Holk. “The award-winning web portal allows us to tailor our educational programme to the individual markets and provide the content in the language of the target country by using various web portals from where the content can be retrieved from any place and at any time – which translates into a significant reduction of time and cost spent on travelling considering the number of approximately 4,000 students attending our classroom courses every year.
The courses can be ordered with the training coordinating specialist at your local Krone dealer. Each unit takes 20 to 30 minutes and also includes questions that assess performance. Also, the LMS learning management system in the background documents the newly acquired qualifications.
