Paige Dalby | Marketing Manager
Describe your typical day to day role:
My main role is managing the Krone UK marketing actions, no two days are the same… From attending shows and events up and down the country to improving the Krone brand and supporting our dealer network! I also work closely with the sales team to align our product promotion and support sales activities.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
There are lots of opportunities to get involved with different projects at Krone, those being within the UK and working internationally with the wider Krone group. Its rewarding to work with, and support, a team that’s passionate about what they do and our Krone products.
Most memorable moment whilst part of the Krone team?
I am grateful to be surrounded by colleagues and a busy team environment that allow me to have lots of fun on the job. My most memorable and proud moment would have been executing LAMMA in May this year, at which we were the largest stand at the show with our full product range in situ!
"Overall, I got more out of my time at KRONE UK than I could have expected, the placement year has been a valuable chance for me to put what I have learnt into practice".
James Bumphrey | Product Support Manager
Describe your typical day to day role:
The beauty of my job is that there is no typical day, every day is different! One day I could be assisting an engineer from one of our dealers with a technical fault, the next day I could be helping my sales colleagues with a demonstration from our large product offering, from a EasyCut Mower to a BiG X!
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
The most enjoyable part of my job is meeting new people and creating great relationships with them, this might be with customers or new members of our ever expanding dealer network - great people are key to our success. I also thoroughly enjoy working with BiG Pack balers!
Most memorable moment whilst part of the Krone team?
My most memorable moment so far working at Krone UK was Scotgrass, we delivered a fantastic working demonstration of our complete product range in very challenging conditions, from the setup through to the last demo run, everyone worked together and we delivered a flawless show to 1000’s of spectators!
Noel Clough | Warehouse Manager
Describe your typical day to day role:
No two days are the same which is what I love about my job. Our warehouse and parts offering is always evolving from stocking a wider range of parts lines to repositioning stock to make room for increasing quantities of our most popular picks. We sell over 33,000 replacement mower blades a year within the UK!
It’s my responsibility to make sure our warehouse runs as efficiently as possible to ensure that parts are available and orders are dispatched quickly - especially during season! They say variety is the spice of life and my job certainly delivers!
Most memorable moment whilst part of the Krone team?
I have worked for Krone UK since the daughter company opened in 2009. After all this time my most memorable moment will still be from the launch party and watching Bernard Krone himself doing the traditional opening of the beer barrel. It's great to see how far the company has come and grown over the past 14 years!
Craig Bryson | Territory Sales Manager
Describe your typical day to day role:
Each day can be very different but I spend most of my days working closely with local dealers to assist with demonstrations or customer enquiries. I also deal with pricing up large machinery and the availability for dealers in my area.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
For me it has to be meeting new people and learning about different farming and contracting operations across the country. I also enjoy attending the shows, it's a great way to showcase our wide variety of products - especially at LAMMA!
Most memorable moment whilst part of the Krone team?
There is almost to many to choose from! From a personal point it would be selling my first BiG M which was a massive achievement. From a team perspective it would have to be attending Agritechnica in 2019, this was a great team trip to learn about new products and get to know my colleagues!
David Riches | Workshop Manager
Describe your typical day to day role:
The main purpose of my role is to manage the Krone UK fleet of demonstration and show machines. This includes building them, servicing them between demo’s and making sure they’re ready for the show stand. As part of this I also get involved with setting up our machines and stands at shows such as LAMMA. Day to day I am based out of the Krone UK workshop which shares a yard with our hauliers, Johnson's Haulage. I work closely with Johnson's to ensure all the machines leaving the yard get out on time and with the correct attachments and accessories.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
As a big part of my role is preparing all of our machinery for shows, its always really great to see the machines heading out to shows, and to then see an empty stand space really coming to life! When all the machines are in place and the stand is busy with visitors it makes the effort really worth while!
Most memorable moment whilst part of the Krone team?
Shortly after I joined Krone in 2019 we held a working demonstration day with our dealer C J Cox, this day really stood out to me as it was a great opportunity to get to know our team, showcase our machinery and really get a feel of what the Krone brand is all about!
Catherine Dales | Parts Coordinator
Describe your typical day to day role:
I work in the parts department at Krone and my main role is to support our dealers with any queries relating to parts. Sourcing the right part for a machine, providing technical information and processing orders ensuring all our customers have what they want, when they want it. I have worked at Krone for the last 6 years and my role has developed to include managing our Crop Packaging and handling the orders and inventory of our Merchandise.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
My role is really varied but I particularly enjoy helping our dealers find a solution, whether it be an alternative part or arranging a taxi out of Spelle. The demand for parts is full on in season when our customers are under pressure so its rewarding to pull out all the stops and make it happen, keeping any downtime to a minimum.
Most memorable moment whilst part of the Krone team?
My involvement with our busy merchandise shop at Lamma is different from my usual day to day and its great to spend time with the wider Krone team and meet customers and our dealers in person.
