Side knives for the Krone X direct cutting system

Spelle in February 2018. Krone is now offering side knives for its XDisc direct cut header. The vertical knife on either side of the header is the perfect option for dealing with difficult and tangled or heavily lodged crops for smooth operation and ensuring optimum and blockage-free cuts in all types of crops and in difficult conditions.
Operated from the convenience of the cab, the hydraulic knives can of course work also independently when harvesting in circles using only the right or left knife, for example. As another advantage, the two knives fold quickly and easily into transport and work position.

The XDisc direct cutting system for whole crop silage - a Krone product since 2005 – is a versatile disc mower that offers a 6.20m work width. Based on the tried-and-tested Krone EasyCut range, XDisc is used in whole crop harvesting and offers owners of forage harvesters an efficient tool to boost machine uptime and productivity.
