Krone donates 5000 euro to ‘Starke Typen’ campaign
Wilhelm Voß presented a cheque for €5000 to Ulf Kopplin, president of the German trade association for agricultural machinery dealers, on behalf of Maschinenfabrik Bernard Krone for the ‘Starke Typen’ campaign (which translates roughly as “strapping lads”, though “pick of the crop” may be more appropriate). The campaign is designed to help young people gain a qualification in agricultural and construction machinery mechanics, with the main focus on agriculture. “The shortage of new recruits is a matter of concern for the entire agricultural machinery sector and something which we must work together to overcome. That’s why the Agricultural Machinery division opted again this year not to give Christmas presents to our dealerships, but instead to support the KRONE ‘Starke Typen’ campaign and thus the industry as a whole”, explained Wilhelm Voß on handing over the cheque.
