New KRONE validation centre planned in Lingen
In future the KRONE Group plans to test commercial vehicles, agricultural machinery and our own axles in Lingen. The Krone Group has earmarked 15 million euros for the construction of a validation centre on a 13 hectare plot in the Lingen Industrial Park. Bernard Krone, managing partner of the Krone Group, and Mayor of Lingen Dieter Krone signed an agreement to this effect in December. “We have decided to bundle our validation activities within the Krone Group. Our aim is to build a dedicated centre where we can technically validate all Krone product developments and test trailers and machines to certify compliance with different national standards and regulations”, explained Bernard Krone. Self-drive is another important issue. There are numerous interfaces within the Krone Group's various areas of operation; by bundling our expertise, we will create a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. “A good reason for locating the centre in Lingen is the proximity of the Lingen Campus of Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, which we intend to work even more closely with. A further plus point is the excellent infrastructure, with direct access to the A31 autobahn”, Mr Krone went on to say. Lingen can quickly be reached from our production plants in Spelle, Werlte, Herzlake and Dinklage.
