Krone adds further models to its EasyCut mower range
Three new EasyCut mowers are about to give their official debut in a field demonstration - the EasyCut F 360 CR front mower (3.60m work width) in combination with the new EasyCut B 1000 CR Collect (9.30m-10.10m work widths) and the EasyCut B 870 CV Collect (8.70m work width), with CR versions featuring a roller conditioners and CV versions a steel tine conditioner.
Reflecting Krone's latest updates, the new mowers feature a 'curvy' styling and smooth surfaces that prevent crops collecting on the machine. In the technical department, Krone retains the EasyCut cutterbar with SmartCut disc system which arranges the discs at optimized intervals, a design that has proven itself countless times in the past. Permanently lubricated and fully welded, this mower bed offers strength, longevity and easy maintenance as well as the well-proven and standard SafeCut disc protection system.
The EasyCut F 360 CR front mower and the B 1000 CR butterfly mower are equipped with polyurethane roller conditioners. The PU rollers are 25cm in diameter and provide consistently intensive conditioning to leafy crops. The conditioner is effectively powered by a gearbox that drives the bottom roller. A separate gearbox for the top roller is also available as an option. EasyCut B 1000 CR features the Combi Float suspension system which integrates the tractor's hydraulic system for automatic fine-tuning of the ground pressure when working in undulating terrain. More operator comfort and efficiency comes from the 910mm wide Collect cross conveyor belt which is powered by an on-board hydraulic system and offers variable and manually controlled speeds for flexible swathing. Height-adjustable crop accelerating rollers are an optional extra.
New V-steel tine conditioner
The EasyCut B 870 CV was developed with EasyCut B 1000 CV in mind. Each mower gives a 3.16m cutting width; combined with a front mower the total work width expands to a staggering 8.70m. This mower is available with high-cutting skids as an option to Krone's series specification skids. The high-cutting skids are especially helpful in stony conditions and in applications with frequently varying crops like grassland and feeding rye. The ground pressure is controlled and maintained by a patented and spring-loaded balancer arm while double-acting hydraulic rams ensure controlled folding even in sloping fields.
A new component is the 64cm diameter V-steel tine conditioner with a 600/900rpm gearbox which translates into peak performance. The steep tines feed the crop in a consistent flow to the rear and across the full width, providing an excellent treatment intensity for faster wilting. The baffle plate adjusts to one of seven steps and without tools.
EasyCut B 870 CV Collect stands out for its 910mm wide cross conveyor belts which have the capacity to feed enormous masses to the sides. The adjustable swathing plate warrants a perfect drop-on point on the belts and an exemplary crop flow whilst the enclosed conditioner tray ensures no crop is lost. In addition, the mower’s on-board hydraulic system powers the cross conveyor belt in relief of the tractor's hydraulic system and the on-board oil cooler prevents the oil from overheating. Last, the new Krone mower also offers superior stability in road travel after it folds into a ‘Q’ position which also gives owners the choice to store the machine either in work or transport position.
