The new EasyCut B 950 Collect - Swath merger without conditioner

Spelle, November 2017. The new Krone EasyCut B 950 Collect – to be unveiled at Agritechnica – is the first butterfly mower combination that uses swath merging augers but no conditioners. Doing without conditioners reduces the machine weight and tractor power and hence fuel economy. This specification is particularly suitable for work in sloping fields or boggy terrain but also in whole crop silage for biogas production. The new EasyCut B 950 Collect works at a width of 9.45m and focuses on minimizing crop loss and gentle treatment as it merges the material. Depending on the crop and conditions, EasyCut B 950 Collect cuts up to 14ha per hour. Developed on a wealth of long-term experience gained on the Big M model range, the high-performance mower conditioner is naturally also available with cross augers.

Further compelling features of the new butterfly mower combination include operating comfort as operators can select one of three swathing options – swathing on one or both sides or wide spreading. Each option is activated from the tractor seat and on the move. The sturdy cross augers are 45cm in diameter and arranged right behind the cutter bar and transport the crop gently to the middle of the machine without loss creating a very uniform swath. The augers are driven by a strong angular gearbox. All three mowers in the combination have the well-proven and fully sealed EasyCut cutter bar featuring SafeCut, SmartCut and impact damage protection.

The exemplary ground following system consists of the DuoGrip suspension system which carries the mower in its centre of gravity and guides it with the help of two arms. In addition to that, all mowers have hydraulic suspension which is set from the cab and offers stepless control for perfect ground hugging.
Another convenient and standard feature on EasyCut B 950 Collect is independent lift-out which raises and lowers each mower individually, a welcome option in wedges.
