KRONE presents updated EasyCut B 950 Collect

Spelle, December 2022. Five years after the EasyCut B 950 Collect was introduced at Agritechnica 2017, KRONE presents an update of this butterfly combination with merger augers. The revised version also offers an Isobus-compatible comfort control as an option for enhanced operator comfort and versatility. Without conditioners, the EasyCut B 950 Collect is lightweight and compact and as such the ideal machine for tackling sloping fields and boggy terrain such as marshland and natural reserves. The massive cross augers group high-yielding crops like GPS and green rye into compact swaths in no time at all. Alfalfa is harvested gently and swathed loss-free without any showing any traces of conditioning. In triple configuration and with a front mower, the EasyCut B 950 Collect covers a width of 9.45m.

Variable, effective and sustainable
The swathing decks open and close hydraulically for convenient selection of three swathing modes - regular, independent and no swathing, each selected from the tractor cab and on the move. A particularly innovative feature is the independent swathing option. This means with one swath board closed, the EasyCut B 950 Collect groups 12m of crop into four swaths – ideal for the four-rotor rake Swadro TC 1250 / TC 1370 from KRONE and efficient chain management in ever hotter and drier summers, saving time and inputs throughout the harvest chain – in the name of sustainability.
 
Proven technology
The butterfly combination has the well-proven EasyCut cutterbar including SafeCut, SmartCut and integral break-back system. Its exemplary ground contour following comes from the patented DuoGrip suspension and hydraulic suspension is control from the tractor cab. Also very practical is the independent lift-out feature which is standard specification and particularly useful in awkward patches. Combined with SectionControl, it can also control the front mower.

What’s new?
Like all EasyCut models, the EasyCut B 950 Collect now has the runner from hardened steel which comes as part of the standard specification. Gliding gently on the sward, this flotation skid ensures an optimum field performance.
There is a new lever on the nearside guard which increases the space between mower and tractor for straightforward coupling.
For intuitive operation, there is the optional Isobus-compatible Comfort control available now in addition to the electric preselector box. Comfort-level control comes from three terminal models DS 500, CCI 800 and CCI 1200 or the existing ISOBUS-compatible terminal on the tractor. All have colour touchscreens where all major machine functions are displayed to the operator for intuitive use. These terminals may be complemented by the new and optional CCI A3 AUX joystick for an even more convenient use of all frequent functions.

Summary:  The EasyCut B 950 Collect is the jack-of-all-trades in mowing: it swathes the crop away from the field edge, swathes alfalfa without conditioning the sensitive crop or spreads ley crops across the work width for fast drying – the jack-of-all-trades mower combination.
