A Big Plus for Perfect Swathing
In addition to the well-known Swadro TC 1250, KRONE also offers this four-rotor rake as a Plus variant with even greater operator comfort.
Spelle, September 2023: As a four-rotor rake with a variable working width from 9.80 to 12.50 metres, the Swadro TC 1250 has already proven to be an ideal solution for both farmers with their own machinery and contractors. KRONE now also offers this machine as the Swadro TC 1250 Plus with various features to make the settings for perfect swathing even easier and more convenient without any changes to the requirements for the tractor.
Convenient operating concept
The basis for more comfort and convenience is the new operating concept of the Swadro TC 1250 Plus: While the hydraulic functions of the standard machine are preselected before they are carried out by means of the KRONE operation panel, in the Plus variant this is now done exclusively with the new KRONE PreSelect Digital. In this preselect operation, the rotor rake is connected to the ISOBUS socket of the tractor by means of a special connector cable. This ensures a convenient view of the relevant functions with the new user interface on the ISOBUS terminal that is used. That could be for example the tractor's own terminal or one of the optionally available KRONE units DS 500, CCI 800 and CCI 1200. The functions of the machine preselected via the terminal are then carried out as usual by the tractor regulating valves. Another advantage of the PreSelect Digital is that the relevant functions can be preselected and the control device activated by using the AUX keys of the ISOBUS-compatible control lever of the tractor. This makes it possible to operate all machine functions conveniently with a joystick, without having to reach around. For all the comfort and convenience of the Plus variant, in addition to the ISOBUS infrastructure of the tractor, only one additional single-acting and one double-acting control unit are required.
Settings via terminal
With the new operating concept of the Swadro TC 1250 Plus, the swather can now be adjusted in many ways to conditions in the field even faster and more conveniently. The working height is no longer set manually. Instead it is adjusted as required electrically via terminal from the tractor cabin. The rake height can be read and adjusted separately for each rotor via the terminal. In the Plus variant, all four rotors can now also be raised individually, for example to achieve a perfect raking result in wedge-shaped swaths that taper off. As with the Swadro TC 1250, a delay is possible between the lifting of the front and rear rotors to facilitate work at the headland. For the Swadro TC 1250 Plus, the lifting delay can be optimally adjusted to conditions in the field by entering a target value in the terminal from the tractor cabin.
Conclusion: The Swadro TC 1250 Plus with the new KRONE PreSelect Digital operating concept features impressive maximum operator comfort while at the same time placing very low requirements on the tractor. The entire machine can be adjusted to different conditions in the field conveniently from the cabin. That reduces the driver's workload and boosts the performance of the machine.
